Speleological Group of Syracuse, in the course of tours scheduled for this caving in 2011, Sunday, March 27 to organize an interesting excursion to the caves Genovese I, II and Chiusazza Genovese.
The three cavities, one of the best known of the territory Aretusea, open between the districts of Cugno Chiusazza Galera and in the territory of Floridia. The
Genovese, of modest growth, have within them many stalactites, stalagmites and columns of the most beautiful of Eastern Sicily.
Cave Chiusazza , having a horizontal extension of about 200 yards and two inputs, is important from the viewpoint of Archaeology, Palaeontology and Wildlife. In fact, in the mid 50's, the famous archaeologist Holy Tinè you had carried out numerous excavations are still visible inside the cavity.
addition, there is still a good colony of bats and a massive accumulation of guano.
The tour will start Sunday morning and ends in the afternoon.
Participation is open to all who wish to take their first steps into the underground world.
The individual price of 10 € includes insurance and use of protective helmets with lights.
We recommend the use of hiking shoes or sneakers dress code and hiking activities.
